About Bitewing
Senior-level marketing, without senior-agency fees
Bitewing helps independent dental practices attract private patients, grow treatment income, recruit staff and take pressure off reception. We do it with a straightforward system and fixed prices, not big-agency retainers.
Why we started
Good practices, held back by small gaps
The best-known dental marketing agencies often charge thousands of pounds a month and ask for 12-month contracts. That suits large dental groups. It doesn’t suit most independent practices, which need a reliable website, a strong Google profile and steady patient communication at a price that makes sense.
We see the same problem again and again: good practices with websites that are slow on a phone, out of date, or missing information the GDC’s guidance asks for. Bitewing exists to close those gaps.

Who is behind Bitewing
Hi, I’m Alan
I’ve spent more than 17 years in marketing: 15 of them at a marketing agency, and the rest leading marketing in-house. I set up Bitewing because independent dental practices kept getting the same choice: an expensive dental agency on a long contract, or a website nobody has touched in years.
Bitewing sits in between. The most important thing I learned at the agency is that the traditional model, where a director pitches and a junior manages your account, doesn’t work for independent business owners.
When you work with Bitewing, you deal directly with me. I build the strategy, check your website against GDC guidance, and report on your numbers. There’s no hand-off.
- You deal with me, not an account manager
- Plain-English monthly reports, no jargon
- You own everything we build
